I believe that schools should not have a school uniform policy. I believe this because all of the reasons that they state the uniforms help such as reducing bullying or taking less time to get dressed in the morning don’t always get affected by instituting a uniform policy.
Firstly, uniforms are in no way related to bullying or violence. The schools say, “Oh, we did this so people don’t make fun of others for what they are wearing.” That is only one aspect of bullying, and speaking from experience, it doesn’t change anything. People still make fun of your shoes, your hats, or really anything they can. If you really want to crack down on bullying, do it by having tip boxes, wher students can drop in tips on how to stop bullying, because students, the people who are getting bullied, are the best people to talk to about how to stop bulllying. Or, schools could actually allow students to talk to the guidance counselor when they are getting bullied, and have those people help stop it.
Secondly, it can still take a lot of time to get ready in the morning. Some of my friends that are in public schools go to schools with uniform policies, and they still take hours to get ready. They have to choose the right shoes, do their hair, and many other things before they think they are ready to walk out. Instituting a uniform policy will never work to change how quickly the students get ready.
Thirdly, also with a uniform policy, you have to go out and buy more clothes that won’t fit your kid in three months. I feel that it is just a waste of money. And lots of schools say, “We’ll help you buy the uniform by giving you a 5% off coupon for Old Navy.” Guess what, schools? It’s still really expensive. So if you actually want to help, help the families buy the uniforms. Don’t just give them 5% off.
Finally, one aspect that the schools miss with a uniform policy is shoes. And recently, there has been this stupid trend going around, “What are those.” So, even if they institute a uniform policy, they don’t give which your shoe should be, or what kind. So, there might be a way to reduce that type of bullying, but the only way to do that is making a standard shoe type.
In conclusion, uniform policies don’t really help with anything. Therefore, they should not be instituted, and kids should be allowed to wear their clothes. If the schools really want to reduce bullying and violence, they should make a genuine effort, and not just a poster that says “This is a no-bullying zone.”

The Superb Bird-of-Paradise; a goofy bird for a goofy theme. While most birds dance and look pretty for their mates, birds-of-paradise take it to an extreme. The Superb Bird-of-Paradise is a great example. This small bird (it's only about 10 inches long), like most birds-of-paradise, is found on the island of New Guinea. But the most extraordinary thing about it is its dance. The males have a cape-like set of feathers which frame their face (seen in the picture). Once they have their feathers in place, they dance around their stage, which is a branch, and use their tail feathers to make a snapping sound. It's a beautiful but goofy display.

Alrighty people! I am so sorry I missed last month’s fashion issue. So because I missed the last issue, I will be modeling these outfits myself today! I am very excited and I hope you guys will really like this issue. For the last three outfits my photographers were a chair and a rock so I am sorry that I had a bit of trouble getting the shoes in the shot. Also I do realize spring is colder in some places more than others so I tried to gives you guys a wide variety. Again I apologize for missing Issue 4.
First up, we have a cream sweater with a radiant scarf. Gray pants and chocolate boots have been paired to make this outfit very cozy.
Next, we have a pink netted jacket with a plain black long sleeve shirt. With this outfit comes blue jeans again but this time you have black boots with a little dazzled heart on there with fire that says “love” and in my opinion looks boss! As you can see, a flat top really completes the outfit’s look.
The third outfit is very simple and casual. It’s just a cool shirt with ripped shorts and sandals. I added these blue shades just to make the outfit pop a little more.
Next is a very new outfit I came up with or in other words I haven’t worn it out yet so I hope you guys like it. It’s a white blouse with a short beautifully patterned culotte. I went ahead and put wedges with this outfit.
Lastly we have an orange patterned romper. I love rompers so much because they are nice and the only thing you really need to do is pair them with shoes. So I paired the romper with cool patterned Ked’s. For this outfit I decided to add a tiny flower in the back because I thought it looked nice.
Well that is the end of the issue! Again I am so sorry to all of you that read my articles and missed me in the last issue. Don’t forget to comment below what your favorite outfit was! I really do love it when you guys comment on my issues! I hope you all have a lovely day or night, depending on when you are reading this! :D
